These are my notes for Collab Tech and Performance, a course on collaboration, technology, and performance at Parsons School of Design, New York. Graduate level, MFA in Design and Technology, first year, spring 2019.
The course asked me to think about three things at once: how people collaborate, how technology shapes that collaboration, and how performance fits into it. The notes cover both lectures and assignments, so they follow the full arc of the term.
I came to Parsons from Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani. Engineering trained me to think in systems. Parsons gave that instinct a design vocabulary.
I have been putting notes online since 2013, from a hostel room, free for anyone who wanted to learn. At least one person in the world has studied from my notes every single day since then. These notes are part of that library.
The full notes are a PDF, embedded right here on this page. Read it here, or open it to download and keep. They are free.
