These are my handwritten Digital Image Processing notes. Third year, second semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.
I joined in 2011. This is a subject that asks you to think about images in a precise, mathematical way, and the ideas stay with you best when you explain them to someone else. Teaching friends and classmates is how I learned. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery.
The notes cover image fundamentals, spatial and frequency domain filtering, segmentation, and morphological operations. If you are working through the lab alongside the theory, the MATLAB lab notes are on a separate page on this site.
In 2013, from a hostel room, I put my handwritten notes online so anyone who needed them could use them. Since then, at least one person in the world has studied from my notes every day. They are free.
The full notes are a PDF embedded on this page. Read them right here, or open and download them.
