These are my DSP MATLAB lab notes. Third year, second semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.
In 2013, from a hostel room, I started putting my notes online so anyone who needed them could use them. Teaching friends and classmates is how I learned the material. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery. Since then, at least one person in the world studies from my notes every single day. They are free.
The lab covers implementing filters, FFT analysis, and signal processing algorithms in MATLAB. Digital signal processing can feel distant when you first meet it. The math describes signals and transformations in ways that are hard to visualize on a page. Running the FFT closes that gap. You see the frequency content of a signal, you build the filter, you watch what it does to the output. The subject becomes concrete.
This page pairs with my Digital Signal Processing lecture notes, which are on a separate page. The full lab material is a PDF embedded right here. Read it on this page, or open and download it.
