Optimization asks one question: what is the best possible answer? These are my notes for that course. Third year, second semester, a math elective at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.

In two thousand thirteen, I started putting my handwritten notes online as an undergrad, so others could learn from them. At least one person in the world studies from them every single day since two thousand thirteen. That matters to me.

These notes cover linear programming, the simplex method, duality, network optimization, and nonlinear optimization techniques. The PDF is right here on this page for you to read or download.

At least one person somewhere in the world has studied from my notes every single day since 2013. These Optimization notes are part of that library.

I started putting my handwritten notes online in 2013 when I was an undergrad at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. I had the notes, other students needed them, and sharing cost nothing. The motto has not changed: Learn. Share. Repeat.

These are my Optimization notes from the third year, second semester. Optimization was a math elective, and it covered serious ground. The notes move through linear programming, the simplex method, and duality, then into network optimization and nonlinear optimization techniques: from the structured world of linear programs to the open terrain of nonlinear methods.
