Scene 7: Next Day
After the discussion with Tweety last night, Granny felt the importance of sharing opinions on uncritical topics with her. “We are members of this society and the social issues surround us,” she thought.

---
In 2020, Albert Hook, an artist, and a tech enthusiast had developed an AI which could capture thoughts of a person and represent it visually. Later that year, Prof. Thomas, a data scientist from CMU, had used Hook’s invention and coupled it with digital information to create an analytical tool.
This tool, which was later called Artificial Visual Intelligence or AVI, could take a person’s memory as input and report matching instances of similar memories as output. AVI could then project those details on any surface to create an interactive visualization. AVI got a lot of attention because it could verify a person’s account of memory by comparing it with those of others.

While Tweety was out to school, Granny was in the kitchen. While working, she felt that to share her perspective better, it was important that she share her visual memories with Tweety. “Perhaps I can use Thomas’ AVI invention to share my memories with Tweety,” she thought.

Scene 8: Later that day
After having a delectable dinner of sushi and wine with Tweety, they sat down in the living room.
“You know, when I was your age, I used to be as fearless and carefree as you are,” Granny started talking. Tweety looked at her with a smile.
“Even though you feel that the world is safe, there is hatred and disparity for women. When you went out yesterday, I was concerned because I didn’t want anything to happen to you.” Tweety lowered her head, shyly listening to Granny.
“Let me show you something,” Granny started moving her right hand over the glass table repeatedly, creating an infinity symbol (∞). As she continued, the in-glass projector lit up to show a spiral of clouds.
“My dear, we call this a Digital Handshake. What you see on the table is a projection of my memories. Back in the days, a CMU professor developed this technology to recreate visual memories. It’s called AVI or Artificial Visual Intelligence.”

Tweety leaned over the table as Granny continued. “In the early 2000s, I was working with T-Joy on their spring-summer collection. One day, my manager asked me if I wanted to go somewhere private. What I thought to be a project discussion turned out to be his outlet to harass me sexually.” As Granny was talking, AVI projected her memory of T-Joy on the table.
“I was embarrassed. In fear of losing my first job, I politely came out of the room, signaling my discomfort to my manager.” AVI now started looking for similar stories in its verified database and projecting them on the table.
“I was not alone,” said Granny. “There have been countless instances of such cases.”
The table lit up again to show the AVI report. It projected a chart of historical instances. Tweety moved her fingers over the projection to see a detailed comparison and sources of each case.
Granny saw Tweety exploring AVI projections. “Tweety, social issues are complicated and often misunderstood. I wanted to share my memory and those of others through AVI, so that you can understand my perspective.”

“So, what did you understand?” she asked Tweety.
Tweety was stunned with what she saw on AVI. She got a lot of visual awareness that she had not received through the physical world over these years.
“There were several missing pieces in my mind when you were cautioning me yesterday. I think I understand now where they were coming from,” said Tweety. “Thanks for sharing your memory with me Granny! We should do this more often.”

Scene 9: Ritual
Gradually, this became a post-dinner routine, and they got comfortable talking about critical topics. AVI allowed them to map their stories with those of others on the web, making them comfortable in sharing their views and understanding the impact of social issues.
