In this project, I have created image tiles for animals using Turtle Graphics and p5.js.
I have used the pixel array method to input black and white images. Then, I have used color detection and overlaid Turtle graphic on the respective pixel positions. Code Using Custom Turtle Graphics and p5.js, I have created a user interface for generating custom shapes.
Click on Forward, Backward, Left, Right, and Draw buttons to create faces and other objects. Code Adding to the last project, I have created a moving car using Turtle graphics in p5.js.
The car's headlight fluctuates as it moves on a moonlit night. Code In this project, I have created a hypnosis pattern using Turtle Graphics.
Play with StrokeColorChangeRate variable to increase or decrease the hypnosis level. Code In this project, I have created a paintbrush pattern using pixel colors of loaded images.
The pattern changes based on the image selected. Image credits: Kathrin, Ray, Brad, and Justin. Code Created a pixel art by breaking down an image into 3D pixels.
Software: Cinema 4D and After Effects Image credits: Noah, Anna. Following from the last work, I have added a particle system to the project.
It takes in pixel values and draws random particles, creating parts of the reference image. (Image taken from Google Images) Inspiration Code I have used pixel detection to recreate a different version of Mondrian painting.
Each pixel is mapped to the image, and the color changes as per the conditions. Inspiration Code I have been researching about the news and media, particularly how advertisement tends to influence the content we receive. The book, Attention Merchants by Tim Wu was an eye-opener for me, as I understood how deeply the "Attention Merchants" try to rewire our preferences.
Look around you. Whatever object you find is a result of someone having marketed it to you. You bought a toothpaste because Colgate reached out to you through advertisements, you have a paper napkin because the idea of cleanliness and healthy living was put out by some commercial giant who wanted their product to be sold. I’m saying that the habits we have accumulated over the years is a result of someone marketing it to us. |
